The old stone fishermen's houses are a true representation of the old Croatian architecture and way of life. Maslinica has many places where you can relax, sunbathe, and swim. The centre of the village, the westernmost place on the island, the castle Martinis Marchi, is now a luxury hotel with a newly built marina for about 60 boats. ISLAND OF ŠOLTA
Šolta is a Dalmatian island near Split and an ideal destination for Blue Shark's unforgettable half-day excursion. It's a legendary island of winemakers, with excellent olive oil and wild rosemary honey. It can be recognised by the many olive trees that cover the whole of the island. Šolta used to be the island of fishermen and farm workers, but today it's a popular tourist destination. The island is a perfect Adriatic gem in the chain of 1000 Croatian islands, famous for its crystal-clear sea, secluded beaches, and delicious fresh food. The port of Maslinica and the town of Nečujam are the most famous tourist destinations on the island. Diocletian, the famous Roman emperor, used the smallest bay of Neujam. It's an island with a long and ancient history, full of cultural and historical sites. Nečujam is a small coastal town on Šolta, known for its most significant and longest coastline on the island and its long bay, which is an area of several bays. Known to the locals as Krknjaši, it has long been a popular swimming and snorkelling spot. Drvenik and its lagoon are a beautiful, largely unspoilt place and an ideal place to relax. The seabed of the Blue Lagoon consists of a mixture of sand and crushed shells, which, together with the glowing rays of the sun, give the sea a unique and unforgettable turquoise colour. Because of its uniquely clear sea and privacy, it is an excellent getaway during the summer. Check out our private tours if you would like to create your own lagoon expedition.
